What's that you say?
Since I basically stopped recording in Harlie's baby book when we moved out of Woolwich (I think it's actually still in the back of my trunk), I wanted to make a note about some of the words she mispronounces here on the family blog. I'm too lazy to go dig the baby book out and want to make sure I write it down somewhere, because these are the ones that sound so cute when they come out of her mouth that you don't want to correct her for fear she'll stop saying them. So in typical bullet point fashion, here's the list so far (I'll be adding more as they come to me):

It has everything to do with Andrea from 90210. When Scott and I first met at Sean's party, he and Kaelin and I were having a convo and for some reason I was saying how when I put my glasses on, it's like "instant Andrea".
ReplyDeleteI got spooked because the Stats told me that someone searched Wackeyworldofwilson on Bing.com (yes, with an e in wackey), and so I changed my title so that it didn't show our names (and rather, someone elses. ;-)) I'm sure whoever searched it is someone I know but it creeped me out that it showed up on a search engine. I guess it's just google you can block it from.
Ha! I love how my mind went soe asily to Andrea from 90210. Fun story, E! You are, by far, WAY sexier than Andrea in glasses...just fyi.
ReplyDeleteI love the new reminiscent look to your blog Erin, and the new name. I definitely remember "Instant Andrea". Back at Winslow Place I'd watch you so perfectly apply your makeup and curl your long blond hair, then as a last step with a big sigh, put on your glasses and say "Instant Andrea". :) I have to agree, you are waaaay sexier than Andrea in glasses. I also like that you have a different name on your blog, mysterious.

I so never wanted to correct my kiddo's either! It's kinda sad when they start saying things correctly. ;)

Who needs baby books? Mommy blogs ARE the new baby books! ;-) I love this post, Erin. Months ago, I told myself that I should do a similar post about things that Eli says/mispronounces. Obviously, I never did, and now some of the ones I loved most have already disappeared! :-( So sad.
