Retreat

Can I do this for my birthday too?  Cabins rule.

Happy Birthday Florence! If not for you, I wouldn't have all of this.

Watermelon, Sun-gold Tomatoes, Yellow Tomatoes, Basil, Feta and Balsamic Vinegar

  1. I concur. Cabins do, indeed, rule. I always enjoy the photos from your little trips to Florence's cabin. How lucky you all are!

It is evident in the pictures how much you truly enjoy Scott's family. You all look so shiny and happy! :) And your hair is looking SO DAMN GOOD these days.

  2. I enjoyed the many beautiful pictures of you and smiling Harlie, Scott and Harlie playing, seeing Blair and Austin as young adults and everyone just smilling and having a good time! Looks like you were there for a long time rather than 2 nights and were very relaxed. And the food looked AMAZING. Did you make those dishes Erin? The watermelon, tomato, feta looks like the perfect end of summer fresh dish. Yum!!

    Florence's cake is so pretty!

  3. We were actually only there one night Mel. But yes, surprisingly it was very relaxing. Harlie is at an age now, where I don't have to follow as closely behind her to avert danger (steep stairs, hills, etc.) AND she slept throught he night and went down easy. Couldn't ask for more.

I made the watermelon and tomato salad but Florence made the french toast and the cake is from Ettores (Princess Cake).

Ali, thanks for the compliment on my hair. I'm on this wash it every other day kick...maybe my hair likes the break from the excessive flat iron. :-)
