A few of my most favorite things or memorable moments from our trip were:
The hospitality. From our waiter at Hurley's to our pourer at Cornerstone Cellars to the Marriott and their awesome drop off and PICK UP shuttle service.
The salmon and corn chowder at Hurley's.
Racing through the rain and splashing through puddles, just to realize I left the keys to Melanie's car in her ignition.
My neck and shoulders massage.
Getting our photo taken by some lady who thought we were guests at "Kelly's party".
My lemon drop at the hotel bar. Woot woot...cocktail time!
Dinner at Uva and the ensuing conversation with my ladies accompanied by the crispiest and meltiest, yummiest Lasagna al Forno.
Which was topped off by the best dessert I've ever, EVER had at a restaurant. An ice cream sundae that was caramel-y creamy cream puffy perfection.
Okay, this was fun to read...and pure torture at the same time! ;-) What a lovely time away with friends...I need to have me one of those sometime soon. Care to join me? :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you left the keys in the ignition! What did you guys do?? Did you have to call AAA?
Cute pics too. You ladies are FINE.
No, luckily, the car didn't lock behind us. It was just funny (and annoying) that after I finally made it inside where it was dry, I then realized I had to race back out in the rain to retrieve the keys so Mel's car didn't get stolen.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Ali, I will most certainly join you...where are we headed?!
Erin, your hair is just drop dead gorgeous. Love your rundown of the time we had (I totally forgot about the photographer, funny stuff!) Your lasagna looked great and the dessert was heavenly. Great recap!
ReplyDeleteAli dear, can I tag along!?
Keri, ummm, YES! How 'bout Italy, gals? ;-) Ahhh...a girl can dream...
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I get it...I thought you hadn't realized the error until AFTER the meal and that you were locked out of the car staring at the keys in the ignition (BEEN THERE!). So glad THAT wasn't the scenario. :)
18973425678234657346573456 YESes to Italia!!!!!
