Detail Junkie

One of my favorite things about Harlie's daycare is that Jessica always writes up a daily log, detailing meals, activities and poopy diapers. I can never get enough details, so reading her daily log is something I always look forward to. Today I was especially delighted with the detes, as it seems Harlie is finally finding her groove.

And then to top if all off, Jessica had this post-it note attached:

Also, on the way home, Harlie let us know (without prompting) that she had fun at preschool. What's neat-o about her age is that you can actually sorta carry on a conversation with her. At dinner I asked how her day was and she was able to tell me that she played in the sandbox and had pancakes for breakfast. Sometimes I'm amazed that she now has the ability to remember events that happened over five minutes ago. :-)

  1. Omygosh that post-it note cracked me UP! I'm so glad Harlie is finding her groove over there. Jessica indeed seems like just the right person for such a special job. It seems she really loves it and has so much fun!!! :)

  2. Dude, Jess is awesome! Total score with the daycare situation. Many working mothers would be incredibly envious, I do believe. And that post-it note is so freaking rad. Too cute! I am right there with you about how fun this age is. I mean, when it's not totally annoying. :) It's like they are the worst thing in the world - totally whiny and annoying - or they are the cutest thing you have EVER seen - talking to you in full sentences but still holding on to funny little mispronunciations of words. It's the BEST/WORST of times!

Elinor told me today that she misses Harlie! How cute is that?? BBQ....I need to plan!

  4. Also, that's so cute about what Elinor said, but also makes me a little sad.

  5. Harlie is hilarious! "Don't worry!?" lol! Since I don't see H often at all it makes me laugh to imagine her saying something so grown up. And that she doesn't want Jessica to worry makes me think she is her mother's daughter. Just no trouble at all!

Oh, you KNOW I love those details too Erin! You guys totally lucked out with her!

I"m glad Harlie is having a good time, and now you have little conversations on the way home. I bet it's the highlight of your day!
