The best thing I did this weekend was get outside. I've been a funky monkey lately and not in a good way. Scott and I took Harlie to Mather Lake twice and I was able to catch up with a good friend over some tea outside a Starbucks. Aside from just enjoying the sunshine and fresh air, the new sights and sounds offered a nice distraction from the pressures that loom.
Three-year-olds also help keep you in the moment. It's all about right now. All the time.

| Sidewalk chalk...so cool because it dries instantly and becomes pastel in color. 1 part cornstarch, 2 parts water, food coloring. |

Looks like we had similar weekends...and BOY are you right! Being outdoors in the sunshine going at the pace of a small child trompin' down a trail...puts me at ease. Loved these photos of your beautiful family. (I can't get over the clarity you get on S's phone!)
ReplyDeleteFaves...
You and Har(LIE) on the net (go, mama!)
Scott and cheeser Harlie in his lap
The b/w of you two...precious
And the awesome one of the paint in the muffin tin...brilliant color!
How far is Mather lake? So neat! :)
ReplyDeleteMel, it's right next to Mather Golf Course (if you know where that is). About 3 minutes from home. At Douglas and Zinfandel.
DeleteMather Lake? Say what?! Never even knew that existed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! Looks so warm and wonderful, especially as I sit here in a cold house at night, the rain pouring down outside.
You look super cute in that hat, girlfriend!
