28 weeks

How far along are you?: 28 weeks

Total weight gain: 24 pounds.

How big is the baby?: 2 1/4 lbs. and 14.8 inches long.

Maternity clothes: Keri loaned me her black flat bottom boots! Thanks, Ker! And I just bought a sweater at Target that I'm hoping to wear post pregnancy too.:-) I can't bring myself to buy a lot of cold weather maternity clothes that I'll only wear for 3 more months.

Stretch marks?: Just the one so far.

Sleep: My Boppy Cuddle Pillow finally arrived and I really like it. It's not as cumbersome as my snoogle was and I'll be able to use it as a nursing pillow too. MUCH more supportive than the pancake flat pillow I was using.

Best moment this week: Cleaning out part of the garage and the linen closet to make space for baby stuff. I'm feeling like we are STARTING to get prepared, which is good.  And Scott found the pack and play accessories (whew!)...so I think we'll be using the bassinet feature for when Ashlynne first comes home.  I really want to transition Harlie into a big girl BIG GIRL bed...but not quite sure if that means buying a twin bed just for the year we're here and then setting up her queen bed once we move. I guess we could always just have the twin bed for when Ashlynne is big enough for it later. Another big highlight of the week was when Harlie went over to Auntie Keri's for a sleepover and Scott and I were able to just hang out the two of us. We had burgers at The Habit and then went shopping at Target and the Dollar Tree (woot!)for Harlie's upcoming birthday party. When we got home and I was leisurely putting our stuff away...it was was so quiet and I said "Wow, is this what it's like all the time for people without kids at home (Mom, I'm lookin' at you and your retired awesomeness!)? They just get to do whatever they want whenever they want???" Ha, it's as if I can't even remember what that's like.:-) But I know that aside from all the other joys that having kids around brings, it probably also makes those moments of freedom that much sweeter.

Movement: Yes, and Scott was finally able to see her kicking and flipping around!

Food cravings: Mexican food.

Food aversions: I've noticed that when I overeat, I've started to feel queasy.

Labor signs: No.

Belly button in or out: In

What I'm looking forward to: Getting registered at Mercy and re-writing my birth plan. Gosh, why didn't I save a copy of my old one! Oh! And finally writing Harlie's birth story, in time for her 4th birthday.
