I'm so lucky that Keri has been so generous with Mazzy's hand-me-downs. I hardly have to buy Harlie any clothes at all! Today, we put Maz's old bathing suit on Harlie. It was finally warm enough today and Harlie always gets herself soaking wet playing with her water table. As I watched my little one play, I just kept flashing back to little Maz in that pool.
This happens all the time actually. I'm often reminded of Mazzy when Harlie does new things for the first time. I find myself using those memories as a point of reference when it comes to Harlie, almost as if I purposefully filed them away, knowing I might need them later.

ReplyDeleteTears again. You are the sweetest Aunt, Erin. You remember moments in Mazzy's life that at times I can't recall. I love that. I love that I get to re-visit our past with Mazzy when I see Harlie wearing her old clothes. I am so happy you got your girl, Erin.<3
Harlie is growing so fast...what's carzy is that Baby Harlie is not a baby anymore. She's got a cute little bob now and her smile reminds me more and more of her mama. These are sweet times, E.
